Kia Optima Hybrid
Model Overview
The Kia Optima Hybrid is one of two electrified versions of the Korean company's family sedan. This is the more basic of the two, with an electric motor and battery in place to assist the gas engine. Fuel economy is the goal, but the Optima Hybrid also gets a small performance bump to help expand its appeal. This easy-driving car boasts a roomy, user-friendly cabin and good value for Kia's asking price.

Great fuel economy with a learning curve.

You can't drive a hybrid like a regular car and expect to get exceptional performance. You must try not to speed, allow her to coast downhill. Avoid accelerating out of turns. Use the cruise control and eco mode whenever possible. I've had mine for about 2 years and can get some pretty crazy mileage. You can get 850-950 km from a tank of gas if you are willing to learn to drive better.
